Social media have largely impacted marketing and business today. Burberry utilizes social media very effectively. This is a major way how Burberry connects with their customers. The Burberry page on Facebook has over 16 million views. Burberry twitter page has almost 1.9 million followers. Burberry also uses YouTube as a way to live stream there fashion shows online for people around the world to view. Burberry also has its own unique website called Burberry world witch gives viewers an all out access to everything going on with their company and where you can find new products. Social media usage is the best way to advertise your products now of days because the large amount of people using the internet with e service e shopping etc. Burberry uses all the major social media sites today and have stores throughout the world and in the most fashionable cities. As shown in the picture above there are five important steps to social media and marketing to use it effectively.

Burberry is generating hype for new products through social video, visual content and social media. Examples of social media are Facebook, Instagram twitter etc. Burberry also started using kids in there advertising videos to inform buyers that they also sell kids clothing. AS you can see Burberry spends lots of money on advertising and it works for them.

Marketers should understand consumers in order to satisfy the needs of a customer and to communicate with them. This is important because the more you communicate with the customers the  more you know what they want and the more you can provide them with excellent customer service and the more customers will by from you.There are many steps that consumers take to purchase a product. For example identify the product, ask yourself will this product sell and is it a need of the people. Another major factor that can effect consumer product decision is the time period. for example if its clothing in order to sell it you have to make sure people are going to buy it see the sty;e everybody wearing in that time period and make clothes according  to what people are wearing so they will buy your clothes.
